Track Athletes Compete at Warren HS Invitational

Several JG Track athletes competed at an Invitational this past weekend at Warren High School.  Sauriyanna Harrison and Maritza Carvajal ran the 100 meter dash.  Kaylin Meno ran the 200 meter sprint. Frosh/Soph League Champions

At Suburban League finals Friday, several John Glenn Track & Field athletes earned the right to call themselves League Champions. A huge congratulations to Savannah Madrid, Tim Stevenson, Keith Shanklin, and David Sanchez for their hard work and efforts as they paid off in competition at League Finals.

Freshman Sprinter Wins 300M Hurdles at Invitational

This weekend several Frosh/Soph and Varsity Girls and Boys track athletes competed at Warren High School in the LA County Championships. Freshman David Sanchez ran a remarkable 44.35 in the FS Boys 300 meter hurdles. He placed 1st overall in the competition.  He currently holds the 3rd fastest time in 300 meter hurdles in Surburban

Girls Varsity Track falls just short

Girls Varsity Track took a devastating close loss to Bellflower yesterday by a mere 3 points.  Sprinters Sauriyanna Harrison, Savanna Aguilar, Gloria Hernandez, and Paola Ramirez competed tenaciously placing in their individual and team relay events.
