605 League Champs!

Eagles football clenched a league title Friday night over Cerritos High School. The first varisty football league title in 30 years for John Glenn. The 1989 Eagles were the last team to hold the title as Suburban League Champs. This season is the first for the Eagles in the newly created 605 league. The Eagles

Varsity Football Defeats Savanna 54-20

In their first game inaugurating the newly built football stadium, the John Glenn Eagles Varsity Football team left room for no doubt.  The Eagles celebrated a 54-20 victory in which they dominated Savanna High School. Edwin Udengwu rushed for over 200 and had 4 touchdowns. Robert Coates rushed for over 100 and had 3 touchdowns. 

Eagles Football Lances Norwalk 48-7

The Varsity Eagles took on Norwalk HS last night delivering a crushing 48-7 defeat over the Landers. A non-league contest but definite cross town rivalry. The Eagles have not defeated Norwalk to attain the Mayors Trophy in 15 years. This young Eagles group broke the streak and came out victorious.   Lower level boys football

JG Victory Over Hawthorne 51-50

The Eagles played a hard fought battle making a strong offensive front. They pulled out the win in extraordinary fashion holding on to a 51-50 victory over Hawthorne High School.

Eagles Football Hangs Tough

The Varsity Eagles faced Western High School at home last night.  The Eagles battled through the first half only trailing by 7 going into halftime, but were unable to finish with a victory trailing 42-28. The Eagles face Hawthorne away this upcoming Friday.

JG Football defeats University HS

The Eagles faced off against University High School last night at Excelsior in a preseason match-up that resulted in a JG victory.  The Eagles offense thrived on the ground and in the air with a final score of 43-19. Next week the Eagles take on Western High School at home (Excelsior).

Varsity Football Faces Possibility for Playoffs

The Eagles Football team brought their overall record to 4-2 last Friday nearly missing a win over Norwalk High School.  The Eagles lost 14-20 to the Lancers last Friday, bringing them to 1-1 in league.  But the fight for the Eagles is not over yet.  If they can pull out a victory tonight over Artesia
